In 2015 the Society was founded under the name of The Uganda Fertility Society. It was created by a small group of gynaecologists whose primary practice and research centered on the problems of fertility.

Our purpose is to, provide a common forum for members of various disciplines having an interest in the science and treatment of infertility, promote high quality practice in the provision of fertility treatment, and promote high quality scientific and clinical research in the causes and treatment of infertility.

We are growing to include more obstetricians and gynaecologists, reproductive endocrinologists, research scientists, and other health care professionals from every part of the country as well as members from other countries.
